Victory for Mau Mau


 Today's top news story is a wonderful milestone for Kenya. Compensation for Mau Mau torture Victims headlines BBC and Al Jazeera. Kenyans tortured during the Mau Mau Uprising of the 1950's will receive reparations from the UK of almost 20 million pounds. That's a value of £3,000 ($5,700) for each of the 5,228 victims still living. 

Though it could never compensate for the lives lost and the actual damage done, I think that is a major victory for Kenya. Read more here.
