Just arrived back from Ngong with Josephat where we visited
the Bishop John Oballa Owaa in the Diocese. Our discussion was to see if there
was any partnership opportunity we could create for the organization so that the
youth would have a volunteer host site in one of their parishes. Also in the meeting
was the Caritas Ngong Director and one of the Fathers. They really enjoyed the
idea of the organization and felt that it was quite purposeful for the youth. They
gave some helpful tips about how we could collaborate for the benefit of the
youth. We will definitely have to do some follow up meetings to decide on anything,
but for now we wish to keep this potential partnership open to see if there is
any greater collaboration we can create. Ngong is about a hour drive away
from Nairobi. The community we visited is nestled into a forest about 1-2 km
away from town center.
